We have just been informed of this information from the Argentinian father of one of the 2025 band members taken in to care in the UK. This is truely disturbing and heart wrenching to read but vindicates everything that those brave people who have publicly put information out on to social media platforms. If you were in any doubt that any of these stories were true, you may want to read these testimonies from the Argentinian familes affected by Mr Guzman and his band of pirates!

Paso a contarles que soy el padre de un ex integrante de los OTS 2025 , en primer lugar quiero agradecer a las autoridades de Devon que intervinieron en el accidente de Tavistock por preocuparse y ocuparse de cuidar y proteger a los ocupantes de la camioneta siniestrada entre los cuales se encontraba mi hijo .A raíz de este hecho las autoridades al indagar a los ocupantes de la camioneta se dieron cuenta que la misma no contaba con la documentación necesaria para circular. Al tomar las declaraciones manifiestan que en tres días consecutivos habían dormido solamente 4 horas motivo mas que suficiente para este desenlace . esta falta de descanso se debia a que el Sr Nicolas Andres Guzman quien se hace llamar Capitan Nicholas Moffat los obligaba a trasladarse en las camionetas conducidas por los mismos musicos y sonidistas quienes estaban colapsados de cansancio y hambre , al momento del accidente hacia una semana que contaban como alimento (almuerzo , merienda y cena ) una bolsa de cereales sin azúcar , casi ya no contaban con dinero para comprarse su comida .En los lugares en los que tocaban ,que les brindaban algún alimento el Capitan (casi nunca presente pero si por teléfono)daba ordenes a su núcleo ( Patricio Manifessto , Lazaro Infante , Ignacio Camiroaga , Brisa Vigna ,Federico Montailbet ) quienes a los girtos exigían que desarmen rápido y carguen todo para Salir .En el momento del accidente ,mientras los integrantes involucrados en el accidente brindaban declaración a las autoridades el Sr Guzman por mensaje de celular decía NO ME LLAMEN NI MANDEN MENSAJES ESTOY MUY CANSADO , y se desligo de sus responsabilidades como persona responsable de Old Time Sailors .Este tormento no comienza el dia del accidente , durante la pre temporada llevada a cabo en Buenos Aires Argentina que es de donde son la mayoría del personal de OTS , los hostigaba con mas de 11 horas de ensayo , diciendo el y su núcleo que tenían que dar gracias a que estaban ensayando para pertenecer a OTS.Cuando mi hijo ingresa lo que le manifiestan es : del pago se va a hablar en forma personal antes de la salida , el pasaje de avión lo sacas vos y una vez en el Reino Unido te lo daremos porque ha pasado que lo pagamos y no viajaron , cada vez que mi hijo quiso hablar del tema se le decía “de eso no se habla” Tienen implementado un sistema de premios y castigos a través de una figurita como sistema monetario , con dicha figurita se tenia acceso a un paquete de snacks , galletitas una gaseosa o cerveza, pero LES DECIAN MIRA SI QUERES TENER PRIVILEGIOS NOS TENES QUE DECIR QUIEN LLEGA TARDE , QUIEN HABLA ALGO MAL ETC, en una palabra tenia que ser traidor para estar bien .cosa que mi hijo jamás accedió.Este mal trato se incremento una vez que tenían sus pasajes asegurados además de hacerles firmar un contrato que no podían abandonar el grupo lo que dura la gira de 6 meses e inhabilitarlos por 10 años a seguir su carrera de musico .Una vez llegados al Reino Unido se les Prohibio decir que eran Argentinos y les exigieron el cambio de pasaje para el mes de Octubre y ahí fue donde les dijeron ACA NO SE LE VA A PAGAR A NADIE , TIENEN COMIDA Y TECHO ESO ES MAS QUE SUFICIENTE , según sus palabras ,Sr GUZMAN , A USTED LE PARECE SUFICIENTE ALIMENTO UNA LATA DE ATUN , UN PAR DE HUEVOS DUROS , CUANDO PODIAN COMERLOS , DADO QUE HABIENDO UN INTEGRANTE VEGETARIANO. Let me tell you that I am the father of an ex member of the OTS 2025, first of all I want to thank the Devon authorities who intervened in the accident of Tavistock for worrying and caring for and protecting the occupants of the van that was destroyed among the where was my son. At the time of the accident, while the members involved in the accident were giving declaration to the authorities Mr Guzman by cell phone message said DO NOT CALL ME OR SEND MESSAGES I AM VERY TIRED, and resigns from his responsibilities as a responsible person of Old Time Sailors. This storm does not start the day of the accident, during the pre-season held in Buenos Aires Argentina which is where most of the OTS staff are from, harassing them with more than 11 hours of rehearsal, saying the and their core that they had to give thanks to those who were rehearsing to belong to OTS. When my son enters what they manifest is: the payment is going to be discussed in person before departure, the plane ticket you take it out and once in the UK we will give it to you because it has happened that we paid and did not travel Every time my son wanted to talk about the topic he was told "that's not what we talk about" They have implemented a system of rewards and punishments through a figurine as a monetary system, with that figurine you had access to a package of snacks, cookies a soda or beer, but LET THEM LOOK IF YOU WANT TO HAVE PRIVILEGES YOU HAVE TO SAY WHO COMES LATE, WHO SPEAKS SOMETHING BAD ETC, in one word had to be traitor to be fine. thing my son never agrees to. This bad treatment escalated once they had their tickets secured in addition to making them sign a contract that they could not leave the group which lasts for 6 months and disable them for 10 years to pursue their career as a musician. Once arrived in the United Kingdom they were forbidden to say they were Argentinian and demanded them change of passage for the month of October and there was where they told them ACA IS NOT GOING TO PAY ANYONE, HAVE FOOD AND ROOF THAT IS MORE THAN ENOUGH , according to your words, Mr. GUZMAN, IT SEEMS TO YOU ENOUGH FOOD A CAN OF TUNA, A COUPLE OF HARD EGGS, WHEN YOU COULD EAT THEM, GIVEN THAT HAVING A VEGETARIAN INTEGRANT. HIS COMRADES KEPT IT SO THAT HE WOULD NOT LACK FOOD, SLEEP A FEW HOURS AND ON THE ROUTE WHEN WANTING TO BATH THEY ARE FORBIDDEN AND PUNISHED BY TAKING AWAY THAT TAXED MONETARY SYSTEM FIGURE. As I wrote at the beginning of this letter we only have more than words of gratitude to all the authorities of the United Kingdom, the Salvation Army who cared and protected our son, who is already returned in our Home This is a brief summary of what happens inside of OTS.

Hey there! Heres a family member of a former member of the tour for 2024 It was very disturbing to hear about the experience my cousin had to go through, even though he hadn't told me anything being there so we wouldn't worry. Adhiero completely what the father of a member of this year wrote in previous comments, the lack of nutrition by the captain, claiming that no one knew more about nutrition than him and suggesting that they do not eat as they would eat in Argentina, who were badly accustomed to eating 4 meals for a day. Added to the few hours of sleep, that combined with a bad diet is a bad combination. With all my heart, I hope this ends and the boys can get both the money and peace they lost because of these people back. Thanks for the space!

May 24th Update

As many of you will have seen, the Old Time Sailors have made comments about our posts regarding this website. It states………FAKE websites and ANONYMOUS , social media posts ARE SUPPOSEDLY TELLING THE TRUTH …but it’s an elaborate web of hate. It is DANGEROUS and highly illegal.

We couldn’t agree more Mr Guzman. Employing people in your band and not paying them is highly illegal in this country. We also note that your name or that of Katie Richard’s doesn’t appear on that post. So your post is also anonymous. Let’s do some fact checking as you state none has been carried out.

You state…..⁃ “the sad fact is a certain crew member parted ways with the band, and following this we received a very threatening email indicating what could BE MADE to happen if we did not do certain things. BUT we didn’t respond, and then suddenly it happened. Accusations, lies, horror stories and ruinous allegations”.

So lets take a look at this very threatening emails that you received from a member of the band that left because of the activities of certain individuals running the band.

We’ve been given access to these emails and we can state that you were politely emailed 2 times with an invoice and asking you (Mr Guzman) to pay them for their services and flight costs. On the 3rd occasion, the father of the employee wrote to you and politely asked you to pay the invoice within 2 weeks. They also stated that failing to do so would result in them going to the authorities. Again, you choose not to answer the email or pay the invoice and the result was that they did go to the authorities as they promised they would. You were also sent 2 further requests for payment of the invoice, which you again ignored.

Do the fans of Old Time Sailors really consider this to be threatening heinous emails?

However Mr Guzman, you did reply by text didn’t you. We also have a copy of this text. The following is the transcript of Mr Guzman’s reply to this person; “Please don’t contact me ever again. Your physical threats to our health and safety have been noted by both me and my father’s lawyers buffet in NY. Including your threats to a British single mother. It’s a big world out there, you seem to think you own it all, including every nation in the globe and their legal systems. My best wishes to you all”.

We think this very eloquently demonstrates the contempt in which Mr Guzman regards the hard working British people.

Here’s a challenge for you Mr Guzman. We, the unpaid members of this group, challenge you or Katie Richards to sign on to your FB group with your ID’s and answer the following questions;

We also have a challenge for all the fans on the Facebook Group and those attending any of their events in the coming days.

What they are doing is called controlling the narrative. Basically this means they attack those who dare to question them about their morality, calling them liars and waging a hate campaign whilst all the time it is them that are the liars. They only allow positive comments on their website, anyone questioning their motives are immediately removed. Does any of these methods remind you of any narcissistic people in the world waging war against innocent people?

A message to all of those unsuspecting fans on the OTS Facebook group, making comments such as “I don’t care what they’ve done” - “don’t listen to these trolls” - “Its so sad when people feel the need to destroy something that is clearly good.” – “I was not aware that you have been receiving bad press from clearly an upset former member of the band who obviously has an axe to grind.”

We specifically ask YOU people this….how would you feel if you were employed to perform as your main income to support your family, if you didn’t get paid every week or even after 6 months of 7 days a week work, you didn’t get a penny. Would you feel aggrieved or would you be happy and say hey that’s life! Would you be happy that the core members and Mr Guzman are all the while filling their pockets? We all think we know the answer to that one.

Here's the rub. The majority of these performers are Argentinian and are all here on vacation visas, not working visas. Hence the reason that they can’t take Mr Guzman to court in this country but they are doing that in Argentina. There’s one exception to that and to that end, if anyone knows the address at which Mr Guzman is residing in the UK, please inform us using our email address below or Contact the police on 101 quoting case number 50240216490. If you’re concerned about your confidentiality, rest assured that none of the information given will be put on this website or on any other social media posts.

So finally, some breaking news! Apparently Mr Guzman and associates are going to do a charity gig at The Pig on The Hill, Bideford on the 15th June. The donations will go to human trafficking and modern day slavery charities! If this is true, it's absolutely laughable! Yet again, they are trying to portray themselves as the good guys! Please ensure that Mr Guzman or Katie Richasrds provides you with proof as to where the money is going! You heard it here first! We can well imagine that once he finds out, he will probably deny all knowledge of this taking place. Please let us know what happens. Shockingly, 4 of the members of the band in the Pig on The Hill promotional picture are taking Mr Guzman to court in Argentina. If you attend, see if you can spot the in the band. We can guarentee you won't!

May 21st Update

It has come to our attention that members of The Old Time Sailors were arrested by Devon and Cornwall Police on the morning of Monday 19th May on suspected Modern Day Slavery charges. This was a result of an accident in the early morning at Tiverton, Devon between members of The Old Time Sailors van and a heavy goods vehicle. Devonlive.com

Could this accident been a result of playing at The Berkeley Arms in Wymondham until 10:00PM, then packing up the vans and driving through the night back to Gullworthy so that they could perform again the next day at the Cornishman near Newquay? As we've mentioned previously (see item 7 in the allegations below) from last years accident, these core members seem to have no regard to the safety and lives of the band members or other road users! Luckily, no one was injured in the accident

It has also been alleged that Old Time Sailors are using songs that are not their property. Please review this video clip from the REAL owners. Instagram video

It's also come to our attention that Mr Guzman is making untrue comments about one of the 2024 band members and her family. If you have any evidence, vidoes or social media chats where these statements are being made, please forward the information to thetruthreporter1@gmail.com

We've also noticed that other members of Facebook have suggested that they are aware of other possible criminal activities by individuals of this band. If you are aware of any improprieties or have witnessed any events that you are concerned might be deemed criminal activities, please report them to Tavistock Police quoting via 101 quoting 50240216490.

Finally, as predicted above, Mr Guzman is stating that there are certain people in the UK who are running a hate campaign against Old Time Sailors and are blackmailing them! One might ask the question -- why would anyone want to do that? Surely, if you are being blackmailed Mr Guzman, why not report that to the police?

We would urge people to reconsider whether they should be supporting a group of individuals that appear to have no moral compass.

The picture above is the band members from last year (2024). For clarity, we have identified those who were NOT paid.

Allegedly Mr Guzman informed the band of various reasons for not being paid, some excuses we know to be lies, but the main one being that the tour went really badly. We ask you wonderful fans that came to the shows last year, did they look like a flop, or did they look like sell-out shows? It's estimated that from the 228 shows in 180 days that this band performed, the prices of most gigs ranged from £1500-£6000. With the merchandise sales included the maths of this means Mr Guzman’s revenue would have been around £500k, yet was unable to pay these members for working every day, which when you add up travel time amounts to 90hrs plus of work a week.

How would the hard working people of the UK feel if you worked for 7 days a week for 6 months solid with virtually no breaks in between shows and at the end of all that hard work, Mr Guzman pays you nothing? In fact, it’s worse than that as all of these people that haven’t been paid have also funded to their own return flights from Argentina of around on average £1200 which was never reimbursed, plus the charge of extending their ticket for the full 6 months which ranged between £500-£1000. One could allege that this looks very much like modern day slavery!

The vast majority of these band members are of Argentinian nationality and therefore have no voice in this country with regards to any legal action that they may wish to take against Mr Guzman.

Who are we you may ask?

We are a collective that have come together to help the victims who currently have no voice after the abuse they endured under the rule of Mr Guzman and those who enable him.

Our reason for doing this is because you, the public, and more importantly the fans as well as the venues employing the band, deserve to know the truth of how those that you have supported and bought tickets, were and are being treated and where your money goes or more specifically, where it doesn’t go.

The 2024 Tour: A financial Overview

Despite this income, numerous individuals were not paid at all—or were only partially compensated. Most were also required to cover their own international flights, costing ~£1200 each, which were never reimbursed.

These are not isolated cases. Patterns of abuse, exploitation, and fear-based control are repeatedly described by those who participated in the 2024 tour.

Financial Viability: A Questionable Enterprise

Of course, Mr Guzman has expenses to pay out i.e. Hire of 2 band transporter vans for 6 months, 2 equipment vans, road tax, insurance and MOT’s for his American Winnebago motorhome, Porsche Boxter, BMW Z3 sportster, touring van, removal van, American Damon Daybreak motorhome and canteen / mobile bedroom lorry. Fuel costs for each vehicle. Cost of 3 mobile homes to house the 25 band members plus the rent of the farm space and food costs, UK VAT and Income Tax.

Conclusion: The band, if operated legally and ethically, would not be financially viable. Cutting costs by not paying workers appears to be the method by which Mr. Guzman maintains operations.

Information regarding allegation item 4 above.

These are pictures of the Monopoly style money tokens that Mr Guzman used during the 2024 tour. These were used as a controlling method for members of the band to gain favour with Mr Guzman. The band was split in to Red, Blue, Green and Yellow houses (Harry Potter Style) so that they could compete against each other.

A few months into the tour Mr Guzman initiated a points system, with ‘distinctions’. These were fake printed money with a cartoon of the captain's face and the words ‘Old Time Sailors’ and ‘In Poseidon We Trust’ printed on them, along with Mr Guzman’s character signature. The band was split into 4 teams, and the premise of this was the team with the most points at the end of the tour would receive a prize. You would earn positive points for doing good, and negative points for doing bad. The distinctions earn could be used to buy the drinks (beer, cider or Coca Cola) that the venues would give to the band members for free. They were no longer allowed to consume these at the gigs but would have to wait until they returned back to the base to ask to ‘buy’ them, if they had enough points. The distinctions could also be used to buy things such as large bottles of coca-cola, £1 mini pizzas, and more depending depending on how many points you had.

Now you would think they would earn points for efforts such as doing well on stage, selling a lot of merch, doing something kind for another band member. Alas no, points barely ever got given out for such things. Points would be awarded to the band member who took a photo or video of another member having done things such as not having cleaned up properly or not having turned up to the van in time. One time this was the case as 1 member was carrying drinks for the band from the changing area to the van and they had fallen, so another member came over to help him resulting in them being 1 minute late. Despite this the pair of them still received negative points whilst the member who took the video showing they weren’t there was awarded the positive points. There was also the issue that those Mr Guzman favoured (coincidently mainly the core group) would receive the most positive points whilst those he took issue with received most negative points. Allegedly and according to what we have seen, the most points would be received if someone told Mr Guzman that another band member was speaking badly about the band or most importantly, him.

Next is the matter of those who left before the tour finished.

On the 21st July at the XChurch Music Festival, the first member to leave was one of the photographers. He had been informed by Mr Guzman a couple of months into the tour that he would not be getting paid for his work as initially agreed as Mr Guzman was allegedly unsatisfied with his work, despite the fact he had seen the quality of the photographers work and he had been working like the others non-stop every day. From this moment the photographer received grief from certain core members, causing him a great deal of stress and anxiety.

The day he decided to leave he had secretly packed his bags in the middle of the night and hid them in the back of the van that he travelled in. Once arriving at the festival that the band were playing at, he informed some of the core members that he would be leaving and that he had his bags with him. These core members proceeded to take him to one side to talk to him and try and persuade him to return to the base to talk to Mr Guzman, which he didn’t want to do because of the trauma he had already endured, he just wanted to leave. Whilst this was happening the other core members took his belongings and locked them in the van they travelled in. They refused to return his belongings to him, which included his passport, until he had copied all video and photo content over to them and wiped it from his computer.

This was on the orders of Mr Guzman. Mr Guzman’s argument was the photos belonged to him as the photographer had signed a contract. Once again this is a contract that he wouldn’t have received a copy of, and he never actually signed anything. However, using threats of suing and imprisonment the photographer ended up not calling the UK police which is what he wanted to do and agreed reluctantly to hand over his footage. He was then allowed to leave where he struggled to keep himself safe until his flight home. He has lost all his life savings, and is psychologically affected from the abuse he received. None of the band members were allowed to reach out to him to check if he was okay, because those who leave are shunned and it is prohibited to speak to them. The fear of getting caught was too much for them to risk it.

On the 12th August 2024, upon returning to the Devon base from DevaFest in Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire, the second member of the band, Emanuel Vazquez was dropped at Bristol Welcome Break services at approximately 3am in the middle of the night with no money or personal possessions. It’s alleged this was on the orders of Mr Guzman. His crime? He said something derogatory in jest about Mr Guzman in the van which was secretly being recorded by one of the band members and reported to Mr Guzman. Why was this private conversation secretly recorded? Because of the points system that had been put in place.

On 12th August 2024, after arriving back at the Devon base at 7am from Devafest, the third member of the band, Franco Galante was asked to leave the band and travel in the van with some of the core members where he was dropped off at a motorway service station and left there for several hours, again without any money until someone returned and then took him to Exeter Train Station. He was abandoned here without any money or means to travel or pay for accommodation all with the full knowledge of Mr Guzman and the other core members of this band! His crime....he had sniggered at Mr Vazquez's comment whilst they were in the van together the previous day.

On 13th August 2024, the only British band member, Amy Harrison, left the band. The actions of what Mr Guzman had done being the final straw. She had been in great distress with how these band members had been treated, along with the mistreatment she had endured over the months, and didn't want to be a part of the band any longer. As the band members were prohibited from contacting or helping these 2 band members who had been kicked out and left she was in a highly stressful situation, as she was aware they had nowhere to go, no money and knew no one who could help house them. Though it went against the rules she contacted friends and family secretly to coordinate somewhere safe for the both of them, which caused further stress that was visible to the core members which worried them, as god forbid the venue audiences might have seen her distress. Her punishment for being visibly upset and having a panic attack? Getting shouted at and filmed by Ms Katie Richards. She was able to leave and get back to family but is still suffering with PTSD from the treatment she received from Mr Guzman and Ms Richards.

Information regarding allegation item 7 above.

These very disturbing pictures below were taken after an accident on the 24th August whilst travelling to a venue where they were due to perform. The driver was enroute from their base at Hurlditch Horn farm, to a farm along the lane towards Morwellham Quay having had only a few hours sleep. None of the occupants of the van at the time of the accident were taken to hospital to be checked for injuries. Each year since 2021 those who drive the vans have reported that they have fallen asleep at the wheel at some point due to lack of sleep. Mr Guzman is aware of this but is still willing to make his workers drive in these conditions and put them and the general public in danger if it means they get their gigs every day.

This is an Old Time Sailors (read that as Mr Guzman) Argentinian Facebook post, basically accusing members of the band that have taken Mr Guzman to court in Argentina, of lieing about not being paid.

We thought members of the UK public would be interested in this post.

Many musicians have gone through our project, and as with any large project there is always someone who is dissatisfied and causing problems.
